AUSTRALIAN SPECIES 1.2MM WEAR LAYER

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Harmony Timber Floors has just released an amazing new Australian species of timber flooring. This timber flooring comes in spotted gum or blackbutt. The spotted gum is a New South Wales spotted gum and the blackbutt timber flooring is a coastal blackbut.

Australian timbers are known for their hardness and beauty, spotted gum hardness is 2800 Janka and the blackbutt is 2200 Janka – compared to French oak which is 1380 Janka.

The new Australian collection is a 12 mm engineered board, with a 1.5 mm hardwood timber top. Both the spotted gum and blackbutt can take at least on sand. Coating used is Bona Traffic which is known for its durability and wear hardness. The surface has a light brushed finish.
