Timber and engineered timber flooring are natural products and must be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s care guidelines.
The use of battery-operated robotic vacuum and/or mop all devices is undertaken at the owner’s discretion and risk.
Damage resulting from the following is not considered a manufacturing fault and is not covered under warranty:
- Continuous mechanical scrubbing in a fixed position
- Repetitive rotational brush contact in one area
- Excess moisture exposure or pooling
- Liquid penetration into board joints
- Use of unapproved cleaning agents
- Surface coating wear consistent with automated device malfunction or obstruction
Where evidence indicates that damage has occurred due to improper cleaning methods, mechanical device malfunction, or excessive moisture exposure, the manufacturer’s warranty will be deemed void.
Owners are responsible for ensuring:
- Mop functions are not left unattended for extended periods
- Water settings are appropriate for timber flooring
- The device operates correctly and does not become obstructed
- Cleaning solutions used are approved for timber flooring
For the safest maintenance, vacuum-only mode or manual damp mopping using a well-wrung microfiber mop is recommended, or the “Mist Spray” method is also acceptable, where the operator applies a light mist spray over the floors and mops at the same time, it is important not to let water pool or excessive water into the joins
Failure to follow proper care guidelines will affect warranty eligibility.
